problems with my cd dvd combo drive ive had it in a computer shop for repair and they ripped me of told me they was going to fit a brand new drive and wen i went back to them to collect it they told me they have fitted the drive and its a motherboard problem witch i do not beleive and they wanted 200 pound to replace it after charging me for the new drive all my drive is doing is spinning the disc and spitting it out and i no they have not replaced it with a new 1 as i could see they had another macbook in bits what they was using for parts any help would be apreciated thank you

I have recently upgraded to snow leopard and since installing it my computer has been freezing on a frequent basis. Lines appear across the screen. According to apple the imac should be capable of running this OS. The imac spec is as follows 2.16 GHZ intel core 2 duo, 1GB 667 MH2 DDR2 SDRAM and has ATI Radeon x1600 graphics. I have tried reinstalling snow leopard but still getting same problems.
